What is here

Mail — sending and receiving, folders and labels, filters and forwarding, and the settings for connecting Apple Mail, Outlook or Thunderbird. Calendar — events, repeating rules that survive a daylight-saving change, a second time zone, and booking links. Tasks — the board and its seven states, due dates you type in words, and turning a thread into a task. Contacts — the record, groups, custom fields, and the history Ruber computes from your own mail.

Two things worth knowing first

Every mailbox has a mode, and it is set per mailbox. Smart is standards-first: IMAP, SMTP, server-side search and filters all work because the mail plane can read the message. Private encrypts to a key only you hold, which costs the features that need a server to look. Neither is the upgrade; mailbox modes is the full trade-off. These docs describe what is built. Where something is not, the page says so rather than leaving you to discover it — the same rule the rest of the site follows. If a page here promises something and the product does not do it, that is a bug in the page and we want to hear about it.

Developers

The API reference, webhooks and SDKs live under Developers. Worth setting expectations: most of that surface is a documented contract rather than a running service, and each page says which it is.
